Supporters stand along side Maryam Rajavi at the Paris press conference, recognizing the victory of the case dropped against the Iranian Resistance

On September 16, 2014, the Paris Prosecutor’s office dismissed of all charges against the NCRI and the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK).

On June 17, 2003, the NCRI headquarters in Paris and homes of its members, were stormed by armed officers.  Many members were arrested and their property was confiscated or destroyed.

According to the NCRI, it was later discovered that “the French Foreign Minister had discussed the raid with his Iranian counterpart in the weeks before it was carried out, leading to claims the NCRI was victimized at the bidding of the regime.”

After 14 years of investigating, the French lawyers have declared that the Iranian Resistance group was engaged in legitimate resistance against a brutal tyranny and not terrorism.

Today, an international conference was held in Paris to recognize the dropped charges and the close of the case.  The conference, titled “French judiciary decision: victory of justice and Resistance” was lead by Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, president-elect of the NCRI.  Maryam Rajavi addressed questions from the media and discussed the victory of justice.  Several French and European political, judicial and parliamentarian dignitaries attended the conference in support of Maryam Rajavi and the NCRI.
